Another Kind of Blue
Since 2024 we lead the technology at Another Kind of Blue. We run the complete technical side of their work, theatre, events and tours, and design the drone, motion-capture and VR technology that makes their performances possible.

Arms, a choreography with two dancers and 18 drones, driven by an OptiTrack motion-capture system with 22 cameras. The drone swarm together forms an upper body that responds to the improvising dancers: a direct dialogue between human and machine, in which the technology does not merely support but seems to feel along.
Live Link Dance VR, a direct, live link between stage and virtual environment. As the dance unfolds, part of the audience experiences it simultaneously through a VR headset, as if flying along on a drone. A step toward a future in which dance can be experienced live in VR worldwide.
Silent Gestures, an immersive dance piece about the relationship between body and technology, with hand choreography, drones and breakdancers. Credited as Thomas Greven-Kogler / Stage Innovations.
Within Silent Gestures we created the ballet Entangled together with dancer and choreographer Daniel Barkan.
BLOB, an interactive family performance (8+) by SALLY Dansgezelschap Maastricht with Another Kind of Blue, in which dancers and audience alike become players in a virtual dance world through motion capture. A first within youth theatre.
